Rapiscan 522WP

The Rapiscan 522WP is a “weatherproof” X-ray inspection system designed for outdoor venues and extreme temperatures. The system is designed for mobility; it has integrated forklift tubes and sling points for helicopter transport. To facilitate rapid deployments, all Rapiscan 522WP units have dual voltage capability (110/220 VAC) to comply with power requirements in virtually any geography.

The Rapiscan 522WP is epoxy-painted with marine-grade materials and stainless steel hardware. It complies with US military salt spray requirements (MIL-STD-810F) and is the ideal checkpoint screening system for use at sea, at ports and large outdoor events. In addition to its quality construction and rugged design, the system delivers the same high resolution and image quality as Rapiscan’s industry leading Rapiscan 522B unit.

The Rapiscan 522WP has a larger tunnel opening of 750mm (29.5 inches) x 550mm (21.6 inches) to accommodate larger luggage and parcels which cannot be screened with other X-ray systems.

Features & Options

Threat Image Projection (TIP): TIP inserts digital threat images at configurable frequencies into the regular flow of bags. TIP is a reliable method for continually improving the skill level of screeners and is the preferred training method used by regulatory agencies worldwide.

Network Display Station (NDS): NDS improves threat detection, throughput, and simplifies operating procedures by enabling the operator performing a manual search of suspect bags to reconcile the actual bag contents with the scanned image.

Network Management System (NMS): Allows a supervisor to monitor the performance of many X-ray checkpoints in a large facility from a single location.

Enhanced Performance X-ray (EPX): Enables consistent detection of materials having characteristics of explosives, narcotics, gold, currency and agricultural products.

Operator Training Program (OTP): OTP enables the X-ray system to be used as a training terminal without running parcels.
