About the Rapiscan WaveScan 200
The Rapiscan WaveScan 200 uses advanced passive millimeter wave imaging technology to provide a rapid and discrete method for discerning a wide range of concealed objects such as liquids, gels, explosives, weapons, contraband or other determined security threats. Its technology includes a real-time Radiometric Scanner that images electromagnetic millimeter wave energy, an integrated full-motion video camera, on-board computer and a sophisticated, intelligent video detection engine. A key feature of the passive millimeter wave technology utilized in the Rapiscan WaveScan 200 is that it passively detects electromagnetic energy coming from a subject and therefore can detect concealed objects without transmitting radiation. The Rapiscan WaveScan 200 has the ability to operate remotely from security personnel, a stand-off capability that reduces the risk to security personnel and increases operational flexibility.
The Rapiscan WaveScan 200 is manufactured in the U.S.A. in an ISO 9000:2000 certified environment, and available immediately. It is part of Rapiscans advanced People Screening product line.
