noviembre 10, 2011 Torrance, CA
Rapiscan Systems, the world’s leading security screening provider, has today announced that the Rapiscan Systems Cargo and Vehicle Inspection division (CVI) has been announced as a winner at the 2011 EEF Future Manufacturing Awards, for The Business Growth Award, for the North West Region at a presentation event in Manchester, UK.
Rapiscan was selected from an entry list of over 400 companies based in the North West of England that entered this year’s EEF awards. When being awarded with this accolade, the judges said that Rapiscan had ‘demonstrated a very good business strategy giving clear examples of growth though export, employee empowerment, knowledge transfer and agility’. The Judges also praised ‘the CVI products, broad range of portfolio, execution of plan, sense of ruthless belief and partnerships with local community’.
The Rapiscan CVI Group was the only company in the region to also receive a second award, which was a Commendation for Outstanding Export Achievement, highlighting and praising the ‘strong strategic approach to market entry and promotion, and innovative product development.’
The CVI Division is now moving forward to the National Judging process which is set to take place in London in December, with the Winners announced at an event in January 2012.
Ajay Mehra, President of Rapiscan Systems, commented: “It almost goes without saying that we’re delighted that the growth of the Rapiscan Cargo and Vehicle Inspection business unit has been recognised by the UK manufacturing community and Her Majesty’s Government in the form of UKTI. We have a strong commitment to UK manufacturing and our success continues to be a testament of the hard work of the CVI team in Stoke and our colleagues in North Carolina.”
