Increased Security Checkpoint Efficiency
When designing the Metor 300 EMD special attention has been paid on speeding up the security check process. Today, with increased security requirements it is essential to use solutions that security people can rely on and operate efficiently without compromising the security.
High Security Throughput
The Metor 300 EMD has an excellent discrimination of shoe shanks, belt buckles and other harmless items, thus reducing the nuisance alarm rates and in turn improving the throughput. This does not compromise the detection of threat objects including knives.
Reliable Location of Threats
To assist security personnel in locating threat objects quickly and reliably, the Metor 300 EMD has two zone displays.
Pacing the Passenger Flow
Passengers tend to pay attention to the upper part of the metal detector when walking through it. Therefore in the Metor 300 EMD there are clearly marked traffic lights on the cross-piece to optimize traffic flow and further speed up throughput.
Random Alarm Function
The Metor 300 EMD has a random alarm function that enables security personal to randomly pick passengers for an additional security check. This means that no-one passing the security checkpoint can predict if they will under go further security checks. This decreases the threat of a person carrying non-metallic threat items or explosives.
Flexible Installation
The Metor 300 EMD is easy to install in different locations. Its display unit can be mounted on all four sides of the detector. This improves flexibility in the installation and when operating the unit. The display unit has an alphanumerical display that gives information on how to operate the unit, and also functions as a signal level indicator.
The Metor 300 EMD’s high immunity to electromagnetic interference and vibration makes it easy to install the units even in the most demanding locations. Several Metor 300 EMD units can be placed in close proximity to one another, which increases the level of flexibility when planning the installation site.
When needed, the detectors can be mounted to the floor.
Remote Control Unit
A bidirectional remote control unit enables copying of the parameters from one unit to other units. This control unit, unique only to Metor products, makes programming several detectors fast and easy. For enhanced security the remote control unit can be locked inside the crosspiece. Control unit’s operation is secured with passwords and a code hopping encryption algorithm to prevent unauthorized access.
